Phoenix Park
Allez, de nouvelles aventures pour Doc Nature !
Today, it's Pheonix Park ! The biggest park of Europe ! Actually, I visited about 1/20ième of the whole park only... indeed, the park has 700 ha of polo, rugby, cricket and football grounds, with many gardens, lakes and forests...
Well, this park also has a Zoo, an hospital, and is the place of the Official House of Mary Robinson, the Chairperson of the Ireland ! This House is called the Aras an Uachtarain. There is also the Ambassador's Residence of the USA... actually all the V.I.P. seem to live in this Park ! So, where is MY house please ? What, you don't know me ?! Well, okay, let it down...
Because of the bad weather, my pictures aren't very good, but I'll go back there when the weather will be better... and when the temperatures will be warmer too by the way !
Here is the Wellington Monument, a big big big wonderful monument, situated at the entrance of the park, on the left. We can see it from the city centre of
Dublin sometimes, depending on where we are...
And if someone wondered what looks like a cricket ground, here it is... nothing special actually. As usual, a perfect garden, daily croped.
See it on Google Maps !
And see you !
Oh, by the way, I added some pictures in the Au hasard des rue's album. And I'm working on the Phoenix Park's one too. Edit : it's okay for the Pheonix Park's pictures.
